A high loop from the Grande-Dixence dam across the Col des Roux to the Prafleuri hut, where the ibex herds like to sit on the terrace at breakfast time.
Sentier des Bouquetins (Prafleuri)
Prafleuri is the little hut on the far side of the pass, and the ibex here are so used to hikers that they will nap next to your boots. The Grande-Dixence itself is worth the extra stop on the way back: the world’s tallest gravity dam, and best appreciated from below.
