These terms apply to guided hikes booked through this site. Reading the trip reports and using the free content does not require agreeing to anything here.

Booking and payment

A booking is confirmed once payment is received through Stripe. Prices are in Swiss francs (CHF) and, unless stated otherwise, cover guiding only — not travel, food, or hut fees. Prices are shown without VAT (MWST).

Cancellation by you

• More than 14 days before the hike: full refund.
• 7–14 days before: 50% refund.
• Less than 7 days before: no refund, though I’ll always try to fill your place or move you to another date.

Cancellation by me, and weather

Mountain weather and conditions come first. If I judge a hike unsafe — weather, avalanche risk, trail conditions — I may change the route, postpone, or cancel. If I cancel, you get a full refund or a place on another date, your choice. I’m not liable for your other costs (travel, accommodation) in that case.

Your responsibility

You take part at your own risk. You’re responsible for:

• Being honest about your fitness and experience when booking.
• Bringing suitable equipment (a packing list is provided).
• Having your own accident and liability insurance — this is mandatory in Switzerland and is not included.

I may decline to take, or turn back, anyone who is not adequately prepared for the day. No refund is due in that case.

Liability

I guide with care and within my qualifications. To the extent permitted by Swiss law, my liability is limited to cases of intent or gross negligence. Hiking in the mountains carries inherent risks that no guide can remove.

Applicable law

Swiss law applies. Place of jurisdiction is my place of business.
