A hut classic with a picture-book view
The walk to the Rugghubelhütte is one of the favourite hut tours in the valley. The path is well built and a scenic highlight — rarely steep but always varied and rewarding, with a picture-book panorama of the Hahnen and Titlis.
The best start is the cable car to Ristis; to skip the asphalt road, take the chairlift to the Brunnihütte and start from there. The well-signed trail past the Rigidal and Planggenalp leads over several ridges to the hut.
Tip: an overnight stay is well worth it for the beautiful evening light.
