A steep climb from Rosswald above the Simplon south ramp to the small Bortel SAC hut, with a descent through the old Simplon village of Berisal.
Bortelhütte
A little SAC hut on the Simplon side, with the view straight south into Italy on a clear day and the Fletschhorn immediately above. Berisal, at the end, was one of the last remounting stations on the old Napoleon road.
