Grand Chavalard Loop
A big high-alpine circuit from Ovronnaz around the Grand Chavalard by the Col de Fenestral, the Fenestral lakes and the Lui d'Août alp.
Grand Chavalard Loop
The Grand Chavalard is the great limestone bastion above the Rhône bend at Martigny, and the loop takes you the whole way round its base. The high point is the Col de Fenestral with the little lakes on either side; the descent by Sorniot is scree and stones with the plain spread out below.
