Schlettere
The playful climb from Engelberg up to Brunni, on a rooty forest path past the Robinson playground.
The playful one
This easy-going hike combines beautifully with children, because the path leads past the Robinson playground — there are barbecue spots, and the kids can let loose on the rafts. The climb through the Dürrenwald is rewarding, and the view above is worth every drop of sweat.
A lovely ascent on a rooty path, ideal as a family outing.
Tip: the chairlift or the railway makes the return comfortably short.
On my list but not yet walked myself — a personal report will follow.
