Lac de Taney
A shady climb from Miex through beech forest to the emerald Lac de Taney, tucked in a limestone bowl below the Cornettes de Bise near the French border.
Lac de Taney
A quiet Chablais half-day: up through the forest to Prélagine, then out onto the meadow shelf that holds the little lake. The far shore has a chapel, a couple of alp restaurants and cows with the sound turned up; the Cornettes de Bise stand over the whole basin. Cross the Col de Taney on the way back for a last look before dropping to Miex.
