Champéry's most photographed viewpoint: a rock-cut gallery bolted to the cliff opposite the Dents du Midi, then a gentle loop down the Vièze to Val-d'Illiez.
Galerie Défago
The Galerie is a short balcony cut into the cliff above the Vièze gorge, with the Dents du Midi framed dead ahead. A little vertigo helps: the trail is bolted and railed but the drop is real. From La Cour the loop drops on quiet farm roads through Prela and Tiers to end at Val-d’Illiez station.
