A big Zermatt balcony from the village up to Trift and Alterhaupt, along the Höhbalmen to Zmutt, with the Matterhorn face-on the second half of the day.

The best Matterhorn balcony from the village side, on foot from door to door. Long day: bring lunch. The Alpine flowers of the Höhbalmen give the trail its name; edelweiss included but not guaranteed.
