A quiet uphill walk from La Douay through the old sun-facing hamlets of Commeire, Chandonne and Vichères across to Liddes, along the sunny terrace of the Val d'Entremont.
Villages and Hamlets of the Entremont
This is the everyday Valais: wood-shingled barns, fountains carved from single logs, a church spire at every turn. From La Douay the path climbs steadily through larches and meadows to Commeire, then traverses across to Chandonne and Vichères, always along the sun-facing side. The route stays high enough to see across to the Combins but low enough to be walkable in shoulder season. Higher up, the last stretch runs almost level into Liddes. Every hamlet has a bench and a story.
