The heart-shaped Härzlisee mirrors the mountains at Brunni above Engelberg, with the small Chruiter-Hüttli on its shore.

Brunnipfad

A well-marked learning trail from the Brunnihütte with boards on flora and fauna — and a constant Titlis view.

The learning path

If you not only want to hike but also learn something, the Brunnipfad has various information boards about the flora and fauna. From the mountain station, turn slightly right toward the Rigidalalp, then continue toward Rugghubel; as soon as the path branches, follow the signs to the Brunnihütte.

It’s worth cooling your feet at the Härzlisee and enjoying the view of the Titlis before ambling on to the Sädelegg and back to the Ristis station.

Tip: a lovely, well-marked themed trail — perfectly doable with kids.

On my list but not yet walked myself — a personal report will follow.
